Speaking of book covers, I love messing around with Photoshop, and created these for my three (as-yet unpublished) novels. Yes, I am a dork.






I love getting into the brain of book cover designers, and seeing all of the comps before you get to a final cover. Interesting story here, and this blog always has fascinating stories about the final covers, and how she got there.

Check out the photos my husband took at the big Lockheed fire in the Santa Cruz mtns. They're looking to get the fire contained in the next couple of days. I'm very grateful that it didn't go into Henry Cowell SP (which has an amazing stand of redwoods) or down into Davenport, which is one of my favorite places on the planet, and the setting for A Kind of Homecoming.
