Check out the photos my husband took at the big Lockheed fire in the Santa Cruz mtns. They're looking to get the fire contained in the next couple of days. I'm very grateful that it didn't go into Henry Cowell SP (which has an amazing stand of redwoods) or down into Davenport, which is one of my favorite places on the planet, and the setting for A Kind of Homecoming.

    I saw Davenport was being threatened. We have friends in those mountains, but so far all is well for them.
